So if ever I stray from the path I follow, take me down to the English Channel, throw me in where the water is shallow and the drag me out back to shore! -

Personality
If I had to describe Rave in one word, it would be 'intelligent'. He has big, bright eyes and large ears which always seem alert and flick at any sound. He's afraid of very little, but he can spook at things occasionally when he is wired or hasn't been ridden for a long period of time. He likes to know he is in control with whoever is handling him or riding him. He has a mind of his own and it doesn't matter who you put on his back because he doesn't listen to their commands most of the time. He occasionally listens if they ask and not command him to go where ever they want him to, but that's only on his best days. He loves taking the bit and when he does so, your most likely not going to regain the bit, considering how much power he's got with his 17.0 hand, 1,200 pound frame. Don't think Rave rebels against racing just because of his ignorance to a jockey's commands. He has got one of the biggest hearts a racehorse can have. He has an unique passion for running and racing and a will to win. He can't stand not being raced at least once in two weeks and if he isn't being worked with another horse, he will do everything in his power to beat a horse working in front of him, no matter how far apart. Rave also absolutely loves posing and showing off for anyone watching him, no matter if it's a horse or a human. He just loves the attention.

Racing style Closer
Rave enters the gate willingly, for he knows it's his ticket to running the race. He breaks from the gate real slow and drops back to a vantage point where he can view all of his competition. When he runs it seems like he studies the field, for his ears are constantly perked forward and his eyes trained on the knot of horses in front of him. He stays in last place or second to last place the entire race and sticks to the inside, saving ground. When he begins to move forward, at first he's slow and patient, starting right before the horses in front enter the far turn. He steadily moves forward and suddenly he's running alongside the outside of the middle of the pack, right behind the leaders. As the horse in first place enters the homestretch, Rave exerts all his remaining energy, speed, and will to fly forward with a surge of speed. He is very courageous when making his move and is not afraid to take risks like swinging to the outside of the pack to gain positions. Somehow, he always manages to get himself to the front of the pack. Rave doesn't stop running at his hardest until the field has crossed the wire, and even then he refuses to stop running.
