The Information
Pedigree Comments
Lula's sire, Dancing In The Moonlight raced on several tracks, taking victories overseas and reaching the Grade Two mark. He has sired several foals, some of which some have now retired and gone on to breed themselves. Some of his best known foals are Moondance and Dashing In The Firelight, who were known for having a rivalry on the track, as well as the impressive grade one mare, On To The Spotlight. He is also the sire of Mona's full brother, Starbright. All in all, Moonlight hasn't failed to impress when it comes to stud. Eclipse is Lula's mother. Unfortunately, she never did race due to a serious injury which took her off the track after placing a disappointing sixth in a maiden race. It hasn't stopped her from producing Lula, and she has been bred to Confianza for Year 13, producing a bay filly by the name of Remember The Time, also known as Tammy.
Personality
Being a naturally highly strung filly unlike her mother, Lula can be quite a handful. She can become slightly impatient, but not overly so she won't get moody with the drop of a coin, though she does get bored pretty easily. Whenever you see her in the paddock, she is always bounding around with excitement, tail up over her back, and having complete fun. She has that quirkyness to her which creates a very individual loveable personality. She is practically like her father, Moonlight. Though they've never met, she's just like him. She enjoys attention, and do anything to be in the limelight, prancing, bucking, snorting, whinnying - you name it, she does it. She has that distinct touch for the competition, being a show off as she does, though some of her mother does shine through in her. Her height, for starters - she will grow to approximately seventeen hands, as she has large parents, though when she is around Blue, she doesn't act like the wild little show off she is, but more like a calm natured shy filly who will graze alongside her like she hasn't a care in the world, but as soon as she gets bored of it all, she goes back to being her quirky yet crazy self. Due to Lula's obedience. Jacey has taught her a few little tricks. She is a very obedient filly who will listen to everything that is said to her. Lula is a filly to die for. She has that quirkyness to her which creates a very individual loveable personality for her.

Racing style Lula will gate well with no problems what so ever. She isn't afraid of the gate and has got used to things touching her side so she doesn't freak out about it. She doesn't get too impatient waiting for the gates to open, infact she's fairly quiet and laid back in the gate, unlike her usual self. When the gates do open, she breaks slowly to get her good position at the back of the pack. She will wait and linger at the back, not trying to make her move up the field too soon. As she nears the three furlong mark, she will pick the horses off one by one, coming wide into the home stretch. She will close down the centre of the track and her jockey, Jacey, will use the competition she passes to fuel the competitive nature she harbours.
